Output Control with EZSteppers

In addition to precise motion control, EZ Steppers feature two built-in true outputs that can drive external components such as lamps, solenoids, or any other unipolar load under 1 amp.

Output Connections

These outputs are conveniently located at each end of the motor connector. In the example demonstrated, two LEDs are wired to the outputs to visually indicate their activation.

Controlling Outputs with the J Command

The J command is used to control the state of the outputs. The value following the J represents a binary-weighted value that determines which outputs are turned on.

Command Examples:

• /**1J1R – Turns on Output 1
• /**1J2R – Turns on Output 2
• /**1J3R – Turns on both outputs (1 + 2 = 3)
• /**1J0R – Turns off both outputs
