Daisy-Chaining EZSteppers and EZServos

You can connect up to 16 EZSteppers or EZServos on a single RS-485 communication bus using a daisy-chain configuration. The EZPlus system makes this setup simple with EZBus cables and EZBus stations.

Addressing Devices

Each device includes an address switch, allowing you to assign a unique ID to every unit on the bus. For example:

• Set one device to Address 1
• Set another device to Address 2

When you send a command, the device address is included immediately after the slash:

• /1A10000R – Sends the command to Device 1
• /2A10000R – Sends the command to Device 2

Global Commands

You can also send a command to all connected units at once using the underscore _ character in place of a device number:

• /_A0R – All devices will move to position 0 simultaneously

This feature is helpful for synchronized motion or system-wide resets.
