SERVOSTICK

SERVOSTICK Servo Motor Control+Driver

Servo Motor Controllers & Drives

The ServoStick was designed to allow a first time user to learn to move a DC brush servo motor intelligently in under half an hour.

Housed in a USB Stick measuring only 2" x 1" x 0.5” thick, the fully intelligent servo motor Controller + Driver is capable of moving servo motors at up to 0.5A current.

The servo motor power and encoder are wired to the stick as shown in the wiring diagram. When inserted to the USB of PC, the drive draws power up to 0.5A from the PC, which is adequate to drive a small motor. The ServoStick appears as a Virtual Com Port, and commands are easily sent via ASCII text from any serial terminal program (such as HyperTerminal) or from the EZServo Windows application.

The Commands are intuitive and simple. For example, the command A10000 will move the servo motor to Absolute position 10000. This communications protocol is compatible with devices that use the Cavro DT or OEM protocol.

The ServoStick is also capable of stand-alone operation with no connection to a PC. It can be set to execute a preset string of commands upon power up (i.e., only power is required in this mode). The Commands include nested loops and execution halt pending a switch closure, which is useful in stand-alone applications.

The ServoStick Servo Motor Controller + Driver is a good match for most DC Brush motors of diameter 1” (25mm) or smaller.
