AllMotion Intelli-inch selected as 2008 Moustrap Finalist

AllMotion's Intelli-inch was selected as a finalist in the Design News 2008 Golden Mousetrap Contest. The Intelli-inch packs a stepper motor controller and driver into a package measuring just 1 x 1 x 0.5-inches. Capable of controlling stepper velocity, acceleration and position, the Intelli-inch is rated at 1A off the shelf and can be run at 2A with additional heat sinking. The standard product has four inputs: go-left, go-right, limit-left and limit-right. Onboard potentiometers handle max speed and current settings, while a fixed resistor sets acceleration. Potential applications include a variety of space-constrained cameras and other optical devices.

Design News article features AllMotion Starter Kits

The August 13th issue of Design News features an article by Jon Titus that highlights the EZHR17EN Starter Kit. Jon's comment: "If you need a stepper motor and don't want to become a controller/driver whiz, this kit gives you an excellent head start.," sums up our mission here at AllMotion, which is to provide easy to use controllers + drivers for the experienced as well as the neophyte motion control designer. You can read the entire article on page 69 of the August issue.

AllMotion releases services for Microsoft Robotics Studio

AllMotion announces the release of their services for Microsoft Robotics Studio (MSRS). MSRS uses “services” to allow Robotics Studio to communicate with the outside world. AllMotion services allow users of MSRS to control EZSteppers and EZServos. Services can be found on the Download page.

AllMotion selected as partner for Mircosoft's Robotics Studio

AllMotion is pleased to have been selected as a Microsoft Partner in their Robotics Studio offering. We are moving forward in our efforts to supply the software services that will allow users to easily incorporate AllMotion EZServos and EZSteppers in their automation projects that use Microsoft Robotics Studio. Microsoft has created a development environment where one can see and test their ideas in simulated space and then move to the real world by adding the correct hardware and software services. AllMotion software “services” will handle all the low level communications between the P.C. and the Motion Controllers. The ability to move from simulation to the real world in the same software suite makes Robotics Studio a very powerful tool for the robotics developer.
