The RS-485 bus protocol allows for multiple devices to communicate on a Bidirectional Bus with a master USB Controller such as a PC.
While it is possible to use any commercially available USB to RS485 converter with the EZ Stepper products, this converter has been customized to combine the power wires with the serial data from a standard USB connector and send it to a 4 pin connector that has the same pinout as the EZ Stepper 4 wire bus.
This converter operates from 12V to 40V, please consult the factory if you need to run at a lower voltage.
